We are the authorized distributor of Komatsu construction and mining equipments for almost two decades now.
Komatsu is a Japan based company and we have our trading association with Komatsu Asia and Pacific Pte. Ltd. We have
been offering all ranges of construction and mining equipments to cater the need of the Nepalese construction sector.
Our products range from hydraulic excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, vibratory rollers, backhoe
loaders to mobile crushers. The division also deals in Komatsu Forklifts. Apart from our sales support, we have a
good network across the country to provide both product support and spare parts
History:
Komatsu, the name in Japanese, means ‘little pine country’. Its history dates back to 1917 when Takeuchi mining
industry (founded in 1894) established Komatsu Iron Works to manufacture machine tools and mining equipment for
in-house use. It was later in 1921 that Komatsu Iron Works separated from Takeuchi Mining Co. to become Komatsu Ltd.
Initially, the company began production of large presses and farming equipments. The first Komatsu construction
equipment, the D50 Bull Dozer was introduced in 1947 and it started producing Motor Graders since 1952. Later in
1953, it began production of Fork Lifts and Dump Trucks as well. Production of wheel loaders was started in 1965
and Hydraulic excavators were started to be built since 1968. Komatsu boasts of having built the world’s largest
dump truck 930E, largest bulldozer D575 and the world’s largest wheel loader WA1200. All in all, Komatsu is the name
to reckon with all over the world for building tough and formidable construction equipments of all types among other
products.

Komatsu has always been developing newer and more efficient products also keeping view of the environment. Low fuel
consumption and following of European emission standard are the evidence of its commitment to environment protection.
Along with the eco-friendliness comes the technological advancement that Komatsu has always been adhered to. Year
after year, it has been using highly sophisticated technology in the equipments making them highly efficient as well
as very economical to operate. Komatsu actively promotes research and development activities for new technologies and

and development of information technologies, including the sophisticated measurement method, remote control of machine
location and operation data, tool and equipment control and artificial intelligence.

bulldozers, skid steer loaders, backhoe loaders, dump trucks, rollers and mobile crushers. Basically, one can get all

Komatsu is truly a global company with its manufacturing and trading operations spread across all six continents.
Whereas, its head office is located in Tokyo, Japan, it runs more than 60 manufacturing plants in many countries and
it has trading partners almost in most of the nations of each continent. Komatsu’s total net sales accounted to US$
22,430 million in 2007/ 2008. Due to its constant endeavor for perfecting itself and the philosophy of innovation,
it has gained huge popularity among its customers worldwide.
Komatsu in Nepal:
In Nepal, Komatsu’s presence has been seen almost for three decades now. We, Continental Trading Enterprises, have
been distributing Komatsu equipments in Nepal for almost two decades now. We have been entertaining great success in
the construction equipment market of Nepal. Customer satisfaction and loyalty to the brand is even more obvious in
the Nepali market. It actually has more than 90% market share in construction equipments in Nepal. Along with selling
the equipments, giving the Komatsu standard service and quick availability of spare parts to its customers has been
the key to such a wide popularity of Komatsu in Nepal.
